OUDLY THEY DIE

Breed Will Jourdanais lives the white man's life until at 19 he makes his stand with the hard-pressed Sioux to win his Siya-Ka. It is 1890 and the Sioux are trying to decide whether to starve or fight. Private struggles take on public significance (Will's killing and scalping of the white marauder and would-be killer of his father) until violence spurts in the Seventh Cavalry's massacre of the Sioux. Will and Siya-Ka somehow manage to survice.... History sound, story simple.
