THE SNAKE THAT WENT TO SCHOOL

For some reason Hank Jenkins' mother wasn't happy to see Puffy, the pet he brought home from camp. Perhaps she just didn't like hog-nosed snakes. But Bank's fourth grade teacher was more scientific. She obtained permission from the principal to keep Puffy in Grade Four as a science exhibit. Near panic resulted when Puffy escaped from his cage. But Rank and the snake brought glory to the school finally. Not unlike the Henry Huggins and Little Eddie books, this is another easy reading book about a boy who gets into scrapes.
