THESE CLIFFS ARE DANGEROUS

Shades, pale, of Suspicion -- a shy, young wife with lots of money, an attractive husband with no visible means of livelihood who is not too forthcoming but when he does explain, is much too facile, and all around the coastal cliffs of England where his first wife met her death and another woman follows before long and -- oh yes -- there's a sister psychotic after a bad trip and the suspicion is diffused from one to another. Sophisticated Gothic which is not in this case a contradiction of terms but a combination of attractions -- to be read headlong.
