THE 6 O'CLOCK ROOSTER

The feelings of a small city boy, during a visit with his country cousin, are engagingly illustrated and told. The visit itself, which is prefaced by a neat series of pictures of how each boy lives, finds the city cousin kept awake by night noises, but each time a little less. Consequently he gets up earlier and earlier each morning, until he hears the 6 o'clock crow, makes breakfast on time, and announces that the noises have gone away. Green-brown and blue-orange pictures by the author are narratives in themselves.
