A minifantasy, an erotic lovenip about Fletcher, a womanizer, who wakes up one day to the pink and white perfection of a small female, an inch and a half high, who laps milk from a saucer and literally walks all over him. Before very long he stops work altogether to enjoy all those perfectly inclined clefts and curves and Venus grows steadily, an inch a week, reads to improve her mind, and talks (with a most unOlympian inflection -- ""Did you haf her?"" -- she's quite jealous). Venus has other attributes -- with her special powers she wins 8000 pounds at the races; but then there are dangers and liabilities as she becomes the cynosure of all eyes. Finally, in no time at all it seems, she grows bigger and bigger, and less and less able to bear her human condition. The master quick change artist of the sexual transformation, Gore Vidal, found her ""enchanting""; others might rightly suspect that Venus is not all that much of a flytrap.
