Dependable romance -- adventure -- a story that will appeal to those who liked Kay Boyle's Avalanche. Custom tailoring for the story of Antonia, a Swiss, working for a charitable organization caring for child refugees from war areas, who becomes part of an underground anti-Nazi movement, and of Julian, posing as a neer do well art expert, and leading a double life on secret Intelligence missions. They love each other and are unsuspicious -- until both are subject to pursuit of Merten, a killer, on the trail of the cause behind individual acts of violence in war areas. At Davos, Antonia is forced to kill Merten, to save Julian and herself. And then they fall into a trap -- and are rescued by the children.
