In the near future, Steve Austin (""The Six Million Dollar Man"" of current TV fame) and the USAF's first woman astronaut are lofted up to Skylab to recover some equipment and to discover how the Russians are sabotaging our satellites. Steve is already part robot and part human -- why not plug him into a new satellite's computer and so produce the first half-human space vehicle? With the lady as his babysitter, Steve becomes the satellite, all its circuitry suddenly making him the most supersensitized man ever ""reborn."" Padded -- and sexless -- but with a firmer electronic climax in outer space.
