TOWARDS EVENING

This book consists of extracts from a daily journal of an elderly woman who writes under a nom-de-plume. The author in her writing reflects a desire to express the joys and satisfactions that can come to one in advancing years. She herself finds that the consolation and inspiration of her Catholic faith and the meaning of life as opened up in good literature stand her in good stead when the interests and activities of earlier years fade into the background. Wise, gentle and cheerful- her observations should be helpful to older readers of the Catholic faith.
