Betsy-Tacy"" were ""best friends"". When Tib came along, they included her in their corporation. This is a second book about their adventures, and is even better than the first. Good feel of a Minnesota small town, of real grown ups in the background. But the story is essentially the small fry's story, with the sort of mischief that six to nine year olds like to read about. Lois Lenski is making the pictures. The vocabulary is right for about third grade reading.
