KIRKUS REVIEW

Out of her own sports background Helen Jacobs writes feelingly of the personal costs involved in laurel-getting, as Judy Martin determines to become a tennis champion even if it means sacrifice of dates, parties and fun. Instead she accepts a rigid regime of practice, training, matches, hard work and sportsmanship before she wins the National Junior Championship. Special interest for tennis fans- but with enough basic sports interest and adequate sprinkling of romance for all girls.
