MY OWN LITTLE HOUSE

A first person dissertation on the house he makes on paper by a little child. (The child is not pictured.) We see the house the child has made, as he adds shutters, tries a flight of stairs, then a tree. The words here are very simple, but the pictures are repetitious, and the lack of people in them leaves a void. There is no real story as such. This is a problematical book. Maybe small children will latch on to the unsophisticated drawings and mark them for their own. Or they may feel lacks in both story and illustrations.
