by Mickey Spillane ‧ RELEASE DATE: June 12, 1964
After 7 years behind the East German lines, Mike (""You can fool a lot of slobs, but not this slob"") Hammer gets back to his beloved Velda, still a virgin, still waiting for him. Velda is sheltering Sue Devon, who believes her adoptive father killed her mother and now wants to kill her because that's what Mommy said. The number of bone crushing fights have been replaced by Mike's promiscuous kissing-- the flying fist has been slowed down by a permanent pucker. But the corpse count is just as high when Mike reveals that Mommy was right, sort of. And as the naked, ever hopeful, ever frustrated Velda sinks slowly in the West, Spillane will laugh all the way to the bank.
