KIRKUS REVIEW

With the earth many ons old, its children are beginning to lose their wealth and vigor. Only a new trade alliance can save them, and when on their way to an interplanetary Olympic match, the descendants of earth become aware of a powerful new race--the Rollers. How members of different galaxies attempt to disqualify earth men from the sports competition (in order to establish their insanity and insinuate that their assertion of the new race is a fantasy) makes up the essence of this well-paced novel which draws an interesting parallel between today's world of sports and a projected world of the future. Particularly interesting are Milton Lesser's descriptions of various space athletic events.
