KIRKUS REVIEW

Accurate black and white drawings and some unusual photographs of killer whales accompany a well researched text, mainly concerned with the killer of the species. Man's conception of the whale far back in history, and his gradual accumulation of knowledge which has changed old ideas is presented. The authors briefly discuss many types of whales, before giving a detailed account of the rcas-- killer whales who dwell mainly in the Ross Sea of the Antarctic. Rousing true stories of men who became involved with the deadly killers round out an exciting book which boys especially will find interesting.
