SATAN'S PLAYGROUND

Rental library appeal -- and that of the less discriminating sort. A story of West Africa, with a British military outpost background, and native women problems, and the overhanging fear of insanity or -- worse still -- boredom. Something of the White Cargo and Rain aura, but it doesn't quite come off, and the story is not good enough to carry the sordid aspects.
