FRECKLE FACE

Freckle face! Freckle face!"" Donny called Ann that all the time. And in the mirror she could see that he was right. If it isn't freckles with some children, it's something else. Little girls will commiserate with freckle-face Ann as she experimented with devices like early morning and freckle cream- to no avail. They will rejoice with her too when a kindly neighbor points out all the flowers in the garden that have spots on their faces . . . pansies and tiger lilies, etc. Brief, sweet and satisfying with appealing and sympathetic illustrations by Barbara Conney for all children who feel that they are ugly ducklings.
