by P. G. Wodehouse ‧ RELEASE DATE: July 28, 1933
A new Wodehouse is always cause for celebration in book selling circles, since the sale seems unaffected by climatic conditions, mental or physical. A new publisher is apt to be cause for suspicion, in this case certainly not accounted for by the quality of the story. The Wodehouse fans will like it. And it should be easy selling, since it follows a collection of short stories, and is itself a full length novel. A sequel to FISH PREFERRED, but fully as entertaining for readers who have not read the other. For your own information, one meets again Ronnie Fish, victim of the green-eyed monster who causes more ""heavy weather"" in this book; Sue Brown, lovely lady ex of the chorus; Lord Emsworth and the prize pig; Monty Bodkin of the Drone's Club; and Gally Threepwood, who bolds his memories as a big stick over the heads of his family and friends (and enemies).
