THE DEMON

The trouble with Harry, Harry White from Brooklyn, is his demon lodged in his ""gut"" although his bearings are often confused--it's south of that. Anyway he has an unappeasable jock itch and he spends all of his time (lunch hours, after hours) releasing it and avoiding attachments until he meets the lovely Linda whom he marries. He also settles down and keeps his mind on his work so that he becomes the youngest executive V.P. in the company, with a home in Westchester and two babies just a step away. Still Harry begins to lapse, sinking down and down into viler and viler women and acts (from theft to violence) until that last exit. He won't be missed, although you might wonder just what happened to whatever was taken, or mistaken, for a genuine talent ten years or more ago.
