An efficient case for the C.I.D.'s D.I. Fusil--dealing with the several thefts of consignments of gold from aboard a ship in harbor. Along with its prosecution, there's the divisional ill will between Fusil and a young, falsely accused, constable.... It's not dull but it is as drab as the seaport city where it takes place from dock to pub to precinct.
