by Robert C. Ruark ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
New York World-Telegram columnist hitting out in a take-off to end all take-offs- in a preposterous spoof of current novelizations. His heroine has a life history which out-Scarlett's all recent historical, contemporary, psychological fictionizing. Reared in voodoo in New Orleans, power behind the politics in Havana, tobacco tycoon, inventor of the cigarette, etc. etc. Grenadine has a magic finger in past and present events, is accompanied by a Mammy, and an ape in all her marriages and activities, her career in an accumulation of bizarre incidents. Prescribed for those with risibilities, but not necessary for anyone interested in brilliant satire.
