THE LITTLE PUPPY WHO WOULD NOT MIND HIS MOTHER & Other Stories

The farm book, with its pictures of cuddly kittens, of cows and calves, of horses, a donkey, sheep and lambs and other farm creatures, has double page spreads in color and a factual text about what the animals do on a farm. Nice pictures in full color, conventional but appealing... The puppy book is drawn from several sources, with the title story taken from Miss Fyleman's Puppy, the rest from a Ginn primer. The illustrations, some in color, some in black and white, have that semi-human, semi-animal quality that somehow cheapens the feel of the book...In general the format, with washable durasheen binding, is good value at the price.
