A problem simply dimensional and simply solved proves a bit of a disappointment in the weak and plotless story form it is given here. Patricia has been living with two aunts in Iowa ever since her mother died and now her father, an Air Force major home from abroad has come to take her to his base in California. Not sure she wants to go, Patricia sets up the venture on a trial basis, to which her father complies, and she determines to be naughty to boot. But the nice, understanding major soon dissuades Patricia from evil. She makes new friends at the base, gets a dog, plays at the country club and decides at last to stay. A more useful story for children in similar circumstances than for a general young audience.
