THIS, MY LETTER

One of the few volumes of truly lyrical poetry of the year --chiselled, precise, yet graceful in form (and strictly following accepted verse patterns -- no modernisms) with a nice balance of intellect and feeling in content. The poems vary a great deal --from gentle irony to a true expression of faith in God and love of people and the outer world. (Occasionally erring on the side of the sentimental in the latter.) She's a young poet but a finished one -- musical, appreciative, incisive.
