A mage of obstacles block Kent's path as he tracks down the secrets inside and surrounding the red gourd, originally bequeathed to Dr. Endicott by recently deceased Indian recluse, Billy Greentree. His job as bellboy at the Pine Point Lodge gives Kent much time to question all those interested in the gourd, to uncover its history and myths and eventually its hidden treasure of emeralds. Thefts in the night, midnight chases, cemetery digging, kidnapping and recoveries lead us to a host of suspects and a mountain of clues until the final capture of the villain with the real gourd. Enthusiasm and interest decrease as incredible situations and perplexities increase.
