DETECTIVE STORY: A Play

This should read well, for the lines, as they come over the footlights, are subtle, sparkling, perceptive, amusing, sordid, tragic- running the gamut of human emotions. A Broadway hit, superbly played with Ralph Bellamy in the lead. Good melodramaset in a New York police station, with a not too obvious social angle.
