KIRKUS REVIEW

A colorful book about a skyscraper who yearns for prestige and sings to achieve it. A fable-type story which is more apt to appeal to adults because of sly social comments and caricatures that seem out of the realm of a child's interest. Very wordy for the average juvenile audience, and large masses of unbroken text make self-reading difficult for beginners. Amusing enough, but sophisticated cartoon type drawings in black and white and full color. Paper & board.
