HALF THAT GLORY

A fall-blooded and bolding adventure romance, not quite big enough to capture the large historical market, but for those who like good picaresque novels. The story of Chris who runs away with his colored half-brother, to avoid the cruelties of their tyrannical Virginian father. His are violent exploits, involving piracy and murder. Then he forces himself to steady down in order to win Cynthia Lanham, in London. But he can't stick it, so cuts loose, and joins his idol, Beaumarchals, on the continent. When the American Revolution breaks out, he helps Beaumarchals in his fil activities which prove a decisive factor in America. Eventually, his romance rights itself. Good going, with full flavor given a gallant scoundrel, Beau.
