Something's wrong with Pinkerton. He just ate thirteen pencils and a broom and now he's chewing on my bedpost."" The giant Great Dane puppy is chewing everything as he tries to get rid of his baby teeth. He topples a tree, dismantles a piano and then joins his owner for Dinosaur Day at the museum. As can be expected, he creates havoc among all those dinosaur bones. Dr. Zandorfosaurus, the museum director, is not amused; but dog lovers and dinosaur fans will find much to chuckle over, despite the predictable plot. The illustrations, created with pen, crayon and color wash, capture the humorous and exaggerated action of the goofy pup and his exploits. ""Curious George"" had the same adventure years ago, but young readers will not mind a repeat.
