This is the other runner-up -- and as different from the other two as they are from each other. It has something of the element of human interest journalism -- a first hand story of a lynching, as told by a participant. Extraordinarily well done, as it stirs the reader's emotions, builds up the sense of suspense, plays up the climax. A tragic and brutal story. Timely.
