CITY HIGH FIVE

A metropolitan basketball team comprised of Irish, Negro, Greek, Italian and Pureto Rican players has an exciting season. The courage and speed of Pedro Martinez, who holds two jobs, maintains high marks, and shares a two-room apartment with nine relatives, combine with the friendship and ball-playing skill of Mike Harrigan, a newcomer to the school, to spark a championship team. Prejudice and slum conditions (but no feminine interest) are an integral part of the book. William Heuman has another winner for his fans.
