ANDY THE MUSICAL ANT

This has lovely pictures by Nora S. Unwin, in coral, blue and brown. They interrupt the text enticingly, at irregular intervals, and sprawl up and down and across the pages, supplementing the text in telling the story of Andy, rebel of his clan, who didn't want to work, but wanted to play his accordion and sing. Eventually he redeems himself by routing a tribe of enemy ants with his music. Pleasant whimsical fiction in contrast to the routine animal stories which hold close to nature. The text hasn't the light touch of the drawings -- but is adequate- the type is large and attractively reproduced in brown.
