HarperCollins imprint Ecco will publish a travel guide by the late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain this fall.

The publisher says that World Travel: An Irreverent Guide, co-written by Laurie Woolever, “offers a chance to experience the world like Anthony Bourdain.”

“Featuring essential advice on how to get there, what to eat, where to stay and, in some cases, what to avoid, World Travel provides essential context that will help readers further appreciate the reasons why Bourdain found a place enchanting and memorable,” Ecco says.

Bourdain was working on the book when he died by suicide in France in 2018. The book, Ecco says, will feature “sardonic accounts of traveling with Bourdain by his brother, Chris; a guide to Chicago’s best cheap eats by legendary music producer Steve Albini, and more.”

“This book will allow Tony’s fans and followers to continue to travel in his footsteps,” Woolever said in a news release, reports People magazine. “It’s been my honor and pleasure to create a book that includes stories from his loved ones and colleagues. I was lucky to work closely with Tony for nearly a decade, and I’m so pleased to be able to share his reflections and insights about the world, as he saw it, in this guide.”

World Travel is slated for publication on Oct. 13.
