The audiobook app Libro.fm is partnering with four authors to raise money for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc), a nonprofit group that provides assistance to booksellers and comics retailers in financial need.
From Feb. 10 to Feb. 12, all proceeds from the sales of four popular audiobooks will go to Binc, in a campaign designed “to help booksellers in Minnesota and beyond.”
The four audiobooks are The Tattered Cover, written by Ellery Adams and narrated by Cris Dukehart; Lessons in Magic and Disaster, written by Charlie Jane Anders and narrated by Sena Bryer, Lisa Flanagan, and Marisa Calin; The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and narrated by Alma Cuervo, Robin Miles, and Julia Whelan; and When You Are Mine, written by Kennedy Ryan and narrated by Corvin King and Kai Kennicott.
Binc CEO Pam French said in a statement, “We are incredibly grateful to Libro.fm for their continued generosity and commitment as Binc celebrates 30 years of supporting booksellers across the country and to the authors and publishers who participate.”
This is not the first time Libro.fm has raised money for the booksellers’ nonprofit. Authors who’ve previously participated include Ann Patchett, Mac Barnett, Ibram X. Kendi, Eriq La Salle, Julie Soto, and Jason Reynolds.
