Actor Ben McKenzie is taking on cryptocurrency in a new book, Variety reports.

McKenzie, known for his roles in the series The O.C. and Gotham, is co-writing Easy Money with journalist Jacob Silverman. Abrams Press will publish the book; there’s no release date yet.

McKenzie announced the project on Twitter, saying, “I’m writing a book about crypto and fraud.” He then addressed people who have lost money by investing in cryptocurrency: “IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. You were lied to in ways both small and large, subjected to multi-million $ ad campaigns with movie stars and athletes telling you to invest. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. There are ten[s] of millions of people around the world who have lost money in crypto.”

McKenzie and Silverman have written about the subject before, for Slate; in one article, about celebrities who hawk cryptocurrency, they wrote, “The Hollywoodization of crypto is a moral disaster. And for celebrities’ fans, who likely have far less money to lose, it’s potentially a financial one, too. These rich and famous entertainers might as well be pushing payday loans or seating their audience at a rigged blackjack table.”

“Finally I’ve found a crypto project worth shilling: my book,” McKenzie said in a statement. “Easy Money is about two things—money and lying—and while I know a little about the former from my econ degree, it’s the latter that fascinates me. Maybe that’s why I do it for a living. In Abrams, Jacob and I have found the perfect partner: a highly respected publisher with global reach who can help two Brooklyn dads unravel the mysteries, and the absurdities, of crypto. We will do our best not to bore you.”
