What’s the perfect cocktail to drink while enjoying an In-N-Out burger and not listening to the Eagles?

A new book might have the answer. Epic Ink is publishing a cocktail recipe book inspired by the cult film favorite The Big Lebowski, Maxim magazine reports. The Unofficial Big Lebowski Cocktail Book: Over 50 Mixed Drink Recipes Inspired by the Cult Classic, written by André Darlington, is due next year from the Quarto imprint.

The Big Lebowski, written by Joel and Ethan Coen and directed by Joel Coen, celebrates its 25th anniversary next year. The film, which follows a stoner and bowling enthusiast whose identity is mistaken for an abrasive millionaire with the same name, has become one of the most beloved comedies of the 1990s. The film starred Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, and Steve Buscemi, among others.

Darlington’s book, Epic Ink says, features “50 cocktails, brews, and other spirits inspired by the beloved movie’s characters and scenes.”

Fans of the film will be pleased to know that it includes the favorite drink of the movie’s protagonist, Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski: the White Russian, a concoction of coffee liqueur, vodka, and cream.

Other cocktails in the book include the Porn Star Martini, the Nihilist, Maude’s Manhattan, and Bowling With Jesus, a reference to John Turturro’s flamboyant character in the movie.

“In addition to 50 signature drinks, this beautifully designed unofficial cocktail book includes food and song pairings that align with the major characters that have become life lessons and spouted advice within popular culture,” Epic Ink says. “Fully illustrated, this unofficial ode to The Big Lebowski is sure to have you reliving the movie and offering up these words of wisdom to your friends.”

The Unofficial Big Lebowski Cocktail Book is slated for publication on March 7, 2023—so fans of the movie will just have to abide until then.
