A new book claims that former President Donald Trump speculated about what it might be like to have sex with his daughter Ivanka, Newsweek reports.
Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, recounts the alleged comments in Blowback: A Warning To Save Democracy From the Next Trump, set for publication next month by Atria. A critic for Kirkus calls the book “another rousing plea to all Americans to stand against authoritarianism.”
In the book, Taylor writes, “Aides said he talked about Ivanka Trump’s breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her, remarks that once led [White House Chief of Staff] John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka was his daughter. Afterward, Kelly retold that story to me in visible disgust. Trump, he said, was ‘a very, very evil man.’”
Taylor writes in the book that Trump displayed “undisguised sexism” toward women in his administration, including Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
“When we were with him, Kirstjen did her best to ignore the president’s inappropriate behavior,” Taylor writes. “He called her ‘sweetie’ and ‘honey,’ and critiqued her makeup and outfits.”
Blowback is the second book from Taylor, following the anonymously published A Warning, released in 2019. It is slated for publication on July 18.
