Eve Plumb will tell the story of being America’s most beloved middle child in a new memoir, People magazine reports.
Kensington Books will publish the Brady Bunch actor’s Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond next year. The press describes the book as “an engaging, intimate memoir” that “shares the behind-the-scenes story of her colorful and impressively versatile Hollywood career and revelatory recollections of her off-camera life along the way.”
Plumb, a native of Burbank, California, played Jan Brady, the awkward middle daughter of Carol Brady, on the blended-family sitcom The Brady Bunch, which aired from 1969 to 1974. Perpetually jealous of her older sister, Marcia Brady, Jan was known for a now-famous scene in one episode of the series, in which she said, “Well, all I hear all day long at school is how great Marcia is at this, or how wonderful Marcia did that. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” She went on to appear in several television series, including The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and Blue Bloods, and is now a visual artist.
Kensington says of the book, “Chock-full of Brady Bunch nostalgia and the skinny on countless classic TV shows with recollections straight from the set, this is Eve Plumb as you’ve never seen her.”
"Over the years, many people have asked me to share my stories for their book,” Plumb told People. “But I finally said to myself, if I'm going to share my stories, it's going to be in MY book."
Happiness Included is scheduled for publication on April 28, 2026.
