The Audiobook Publishers Association revealed the finalists for its annual Audie Awards, which recognize “distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.”

The finalists for the audiobook of the year award are The Devil Reached Toward the Sky, written by Garrett M. Graff and narrated by Edoardo Ballerini, Graff, and a full cast; King of Ashes, written by S.A. Cosby and narrated by Adam Lazarre-White; Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane Austen and Lulu Raczka and narrated by a full cast; Shield of Sparrows: Book 1, written by Devney Perry and narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke; Sunrise on the Reaping, written by Suzanne Collins and narrated by Jefferson White; and Wild Dark Shore, written by Charlotte McConaghy and narrated by Saskia Maarleveld, Katherine Littrell, Cooper Mortlock, and Steve West.

Making the shortlist in the autobiography/memoir category are Cher: The Memoir, Part One, written by Cher and narrated by Cher and Stephanie J. Block; Code Name: Pale Horse, written by Scott Payne and narrated by Payne with Michelle Shephard; The Heart of a Woman, written by Maya Angelou and narrated by Uzo Aduba; Matriarch, written by Tina Knowles and narrated by Knowles, Beyoncé, Solange, Kelly Rowland, and Angie Beyincé; and Nobody’s Girl, written by Virginia Roberts Giuffre and narrated by Thérèse Plummer and Gabra Zackman.

The nominees in the fiction category are Atmosphere, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and narrated by Kristen DiMercurio, Julia Whelan, and Reid; Broken Country, written by Clare Leslie Hall and narrated by Hattie Morahan; The Correspondent, written by Virginia Evans and narrated by a large cast; The Favorites, written by Layne Fargo and narrated by a large cast; and Junie, written by Erin Crosby Eckstine and narrated by Angel Pean.

The Audie Awards were established in 1996. The winners of this year’s prizes will be announced at a gala in New York on March 2. A full list of this year’s finalists is available at the Audiobook Publishers Association website.
