Kate McKinnon is bringing her children’s book trilogy to a close, People magazine reports.

Alvina Ling Books, an imprint of Little, Brown, will publish the Saturday Night Live alum’s The Jungle of Carabanana in the fall. The book is the third installment in McKinnon’s Millicent Quibb series, which began in 2024 with The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science and continued the following year with Secrets of the Purple Pearl.

Those books, both illustrated by Afredo Cáceres, followed three sisters—Gertrude, Eugenia, and Dee-Dee Porch—who enroll in a school run by the mysterious Millicent Quibb and wage battle against the evil Krenetics Research Association (KRA). Critics for Kirkus called the first book “fiercely feisty and unapologetically goofy” and the second one “unforgettably quirky, fast-paced fun.”

In The Jungle of Carabanana, the publisher says, the Porch sisters and Millicent travel to the French city of ParisToo, where they must again stop the KRA from executing a villainous plan. Along the way they encounter “a tree that throws coconuts, a suspicious pile of sausage, [and] a glaring aunt.”

“Getting to write about a world that I’d been dreaming of for so many years has been an incredible privilege, and getting to meet young readers across the country who connect with that world has been an even greater one,” McKinnon told People.

The Jungle of Carabanana is scheduled for publication on Sept. 29.
