Kenan Thompson has revealed the title and publication date for his upcoming memoir, People magazine reports.

Harper will publish the Saturday Night Live star’s When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice From a Professional Clown later this year. The press describes the book as “an ode to growing up, getting older and wiser, and learning from the school of hard knocks.”

Thompson was a teenager when he was a cast member on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That beginning in 1994; two years later, he starred in the network’s popular sitcom Kenan & Kel. He joined SNL in 2003.

His memoir, according to People, will contain stories of Thompson’s encounters with various celebrities, his thoughts on race, and his experiences as a father.

“It’s been such a joy to write and share my story in When I Was Your Age,” Thompson told People. “From All That to SNL, I’ve had a lot of laughs—and learned a few lessons—along the way, and I hope fans will too.”

He also shared news of the book on Instagram, writing, “I wrote a book y’all!!! It’s near and dear to my heart so I hope you enjoy!!!”

When I Was Your Age is slated for publication on Dec. 5.
