Lena Ahn has joined the cast of the Netflix series adaptation of Helen Wan’s novel The Partner Track, Deadline reports.

Ahn, known for her stint in the short-lived K-pop group 6mix, will play a recurring role in the series, which stars Arden Cho (Teen Wolf, Chicago Med).

Wan’s novel, published in 2013 by St. Martin’s Press, follows Ingrid, a young Asian American woman who tries to balance her ambition with her ethics after joining a prestigious, white-shoe law firm in New York.

Cho plays Ingrid in the series, while Ahn will portray her sister, Lina, a liberal rebel who disdains the male-centric culture that Ingrid’s law firm exemplifies. Other cast members include Bradley Gibson (Power Book II: Ghost), Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters), Nolan Gerard Funk (The Flight Attendant), and Alexandra Turshen (Ray Donovan).

The series is created by Georgia Lee, known for producing The Expanse and The 100. Lee will be a showrunner for the series along with Sarah Goldfinger (Brothers and Sisters, Grimm).

Ahn announced the news of her casting on Instagram. “Finally get to share about this amazing opportunity! I’m truly so blessed to be working alongside such amazing people and so, so grateful for @arden_cho for being a great real life uniee to me,” she wrote, using a Korean word for older sister.
