New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman revealed the title and cover of her forthcoming book about former President Donald Trump.

Haberman shared the cover of Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America on Twitter, writing, “The book takes a long look at the arc of his life, from the world that made him in New York City to the world he tried to recreate in the White House.”

In November of 2020, Penguin Press announced that it had acquired Haberman’s book about the former president, calling it “a definitive chronicle of Donald Trump’s rise, fall, and continual reinvention.”

Haberman also teased a revelation from the book, tweeting, “White House residence staff periodically found papers had clogged a toilet, leaving staff believing Trump had flushed material he'd ripped into pieces.”

Axios reports that Trump denied the allegation, saying, “Also, another fake story, that I flushed papers and documents down a White House toilet, is categorically untrue and simply made up by a reporter in order to get publicity for a mostly fictitious book.”

According to Reuters, Haberman also reports in the book that Trump has claimed he still keeps in touch with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, but Haberman cautioned that his claims might not be true.

Penguin Press says that in the book, “Haberman reveals in full the depth of her understanding of the 45th president himself, and of what the Trump phenomenon means.”

Confidence Man is slated for publication on Oct. 4.
