Kid Cudi will tell the story of his life and career in a new memoir.
Simon & Schuster will publish the rapper and actor’s Cudi: The Memoir this summer. The press describes the book as “a raw, fearless memoir from the Grammy Award–winning artist, actor, and designer Kid Cudi about a kid from Cleveland who found purpose in the darkness and became a guiding light for a generation.”
Cudi made his musical debut in 2007 with the viral hit song “Day ’n’ Nite,” which he posted on his MySpace page; it was officially released as his debut single the following year. His first album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, came out in 2009 and became a blockbuster hit.
He went on to release several more albums and acted in television series including How To Make It in America, Westworld, and Young Love. He also launched a clothing line, MOTR, in 2022.
In his memoir, Simon & Schuster says, Cudi “charts the journey back to himself, offering hard-earned lessons on vulnerability, reinvention, and the courage to keep going.”
Cudi announced the book on the social platform X, writing, “I cannot wait for u guys to read it. Its filled w so much about my journey from my first memory to turning 40. Life lessons, the rager period of my life, and fighting my demons. All the way to the present, where happiness has found me.”
