Reality television star and producer Shaunie Henderson will tell the story of her life and career in a new memoir, People magazine reports.

Gallery Books will publish Henderson’s Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms this spring. The press says that in the book Henderson “opens up about finding love, offers advice for raising strong, smart, grounded Black children in today’s world, and reveals how to define your career and personal life by your own terms.”

Henderson married NBA star Shaquille O’Neal in 2002; the couple divorced nine years later. She made her television debut in 2010 as a star and executive producer of the VH1 reality show Basketball Wives, and she was the subject of her own series, Shaunie’s Home Court, from 2016 to 2018.

“I just try to just share who I am in this book and make it make sense,” Henderson told People. “I mean, maybe people will get it, maybe they won’t. But I’m not doing it for people. I think I’m doing it just to kind of free myself.”

She shared the news of the book on Instagram, writing, “I began writing my new book, UNDEFEATED, over 5 years ago. And man, what a difference time can make. Journey with me as I grow through fear, insecurity, self-doubt and arrive at the destination of courage, confidence and assurance. This process has been scary yet settling as I continue to discover myself daily. I’m in my own lane, a lane I’m proud of, and all roads lead to #UNDEFEATED!”

Undefeated is scheduled for publication on May 7.
