Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir has found its narrator.

Michelle Williams, the Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning actor, will be the voice behind the audiobook edition of The Woman in Me, Spears’ autobiography scheduled for release later this month, People magazine reports.

Spears, the iconic pop singer known for her hit singles including “...Baby One More Time” and "Oops!...I Did It Again,” will also be featured on the audiobook, reading an introduction. The rest of the text will be narrated by Williams.

"This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears told People. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook. I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it."

Spears’ memoir, which publisher Gallery Books says is “written with remarkable candor and humor,” has been the subject of feverish speculation in the entertainment world, with observers waiting to read what the singer might have to say about her past relationships and the controversial conservatorship she was placed under from 2008 to 2021 after a series of mental health struggles.

Williams, who has been nominated for five Academy Awards for her roles in films including Brokeback Mountain, Manchester by the Sea, and The Fabelmans, said in a statement, “I stand with Britney.”

The print and audiobook editions of The Woman in Me are scheduled for publication on Oct. 24.
