A new book showcasing Bob Dylan’s artwork is coming later this year.

Simon & Schuster will publish the Nobel Prize-winning singer-songwriter’s Point Blank (Quick Studies) in the fall, the press announced in a news release. The press says the book “features nearly 100 black-and-white drawings that were completed between 2021 and 2022 and served as the basis for his latest exhibition—also titled Point Blank—at London’s Halcyon Gallery in early 2025.”

Dylan is best known for his hugely influential musical career, having written classic songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Like a Rolling Stone,” but he also has an extensive bibliography, including a poetry collection, Tarantula; a memoir, Chronicles: Volume One; and a nonfiction book, The Philosophy of Modern Song.

His interest in visual art dates to the 1960s. Dylan’s paintings have appeared on album covers including the Band’s Music From Big Pink and his own Self Portrait and Planet Waves. He has published several art books, including Drawn Blank, Revisionist Art, and The Beaten Path.

His new book, Simon & Schuster says, contains “portraits, still lifes, and landscapes: roller-skating lovers, a suit of armor, a suspension bridge, a karaoke singer, a roll of Scotch tape, a Parisian canal, a man with a crooked smile.”

The art will be accompanied by prose pieces written by Eddie Gorodetsky, Jackie Hamilton, and Lucy Sante.

Simon & Schuster also announced that it will release an unabridged audiobook version of Chronicles: Volume One, narrated by actor Sean Penn. Both the audiobook and Point Blank (Quick Studies) are slated for publication on November 18.
