Lance Bass will pay tribute to his favorite holiday in a new children’s book.
Union Square Kids will publish the singer’s Trick or Treat on Scary Street, illustrated by Roland Garrigue, this summer, the press announced in a news release. It describes the book as “a quirky and surprising Halloween story [that] is perfect for trick-or-treaters who love extra tricks and treats.”
Bass, who became a star as a singer in the popular boy band ’N Sync, is the author of a previous book, the autobiography Out of Sync, which was published the year after he came out as gay.
Union Square writes of his new book, “Come follow thirteen trick-or-treaters down Scary Street. Dare to stop at the vampire’s lair? Tempted to take a bite of the witch’s delight? How about a peek inside a ghostly haunt? Who will make it to the end…and what last trick (or treat) awaits?”
In a statement, Bass said, “Writing a children’s book about my love for Halloween was an absolute blast. This project became my own little adventure—a joyous mix of discovery and thrilling fun. I hope this book brings as many smiles to your family as it did to mine. It’s a captivating journey that celebrates the magic of Halloween for kids and kids-at-heart alike!”
Trick or Treat on Scary Street is scheduled for publication on July 23.
