Narrators Allyson Ryan and Chris Lutkin divide the text about Ellie Foraker, who led a team of garment makers at the underwear manufacturer that won a NASA competition to create the spacesuits that took the Apollo crew to the moon. Ryan narrates the main story in a calm voice and even cadence. Lutkin interjects "facts" about the creation and engineering of the suits and the Apollo mission. His contrasting serious tone interrupts the flow of the narrative--something that would probably go unnoticed in the picture book format. Nevertheless, this intriguing aspect of the Apollo mission makes an informative audiobook program.
