This audiobook will appeal to Allende’s admirers as well as anyone fascinated by the writing process. Narrator Victoria Villarreal narrates this brief treatise on writing in a conversational manner that suits Allende’s style. She seems to inhabit the prolific Chilean American novelist’s mind and spirit, conveying her words with the appropriate voice, tone, and tempo. “I write in Spanish and I live in English,” Allende says.
