Constantine's voices for each are spot-on, revealing Jude's tough demeanor, Adele's difficulty accepting life as a former starlet, and Wendy's vulnerability, especially concerning her elderly dog. The voice of each woman is easily discernible as she reflects on her life and slowly comes to terms with secrets uncovered. Constantine fluidly conveys the changing emotions: Bitterness and anger become tenderness and hope as the women navigate grief and their relationships with one another. The narrator's touching performance highlights the heartwarming elements of the story about friendship and getting older.

The past cannot be changed, but what if you could travel to the past to view an event in your own history, or to attend a historical event? This is the premise Moriarty creates with a Time Travel Agency in Sydney, Australia. Kellie Jones ably performs chapters featuring Anna and Jade—both single mothers of teenage daughters. Jones expresses the joy Anna takes in literature and her uncertainty in her parenting abilities as well as Jade’s grief at the loss of her sister and disbelief that her daughter might be a bully. Mitchell Bourke’s excellent performance conveys Teddy’s confusion regarding the breakup of his marriage and his visits to the past for an explanation. A particular highlight is Bourke’s narration of the hilarious and heartwarming texts between Teddy and his friends.

Mozhan Navabi gives a composed, emotionally charged performance of this story of Afghan women facing a transformed homeland. As foreign forces depart and Taliban rule returns, Marjan, Soraya, and Mina each confront threats to the lives they have built. Navabi gives Marjan a resilient, protective quality as she draws on her years of combat and earlier experience living under another identity. Soraya has a more defiant vocal presence, while Mina’s voice reflects the vulnerability of a public figure suddenly exposed to danger. Moving among their experiences with clear shifts in cadence and intensity, Navabi keeps their individual journeys distinct.
